So folks, what are our opinions on the new statue/ whole ‘Dumfries was the REAL birthplace of Peter, let’s all make this into a contest’
I think it’s ridiculous. It seems to be pure money making/tourist attracting instead of a genuine let’s trace the story to the roots thing to me. It sprang from Barrie’s head, and he was inspired by many places/people.
As for the statue, it reminds me more of Robin Hood than Peter Pan the child.
